dougdeeper.com is a comedy website from Bad Therapist. Dr Doug Deeper is a fictional character. Booking a session gets you an email, not an appointment. Your details are handled under the Bad Therapist privacy notice, which names the data controller and explains your rights. This page covers what this site adds.
What we collect and why
- Bookings: your first name, your email, and the session type, date and time you picked. We use them to send you 1 comedy email about your booking.
- Reviews: the name or initials, rating and text you submit. We use them to moderate reviews and to publish the ones we approve, with a reply from Dr Doug written by us.
- Abuse limits: a one-way hash of your IP address, used to limit repeat bookings and reviews. We don't store your IP address itself.
- Marketing emails: only if you tick the box and then confirm by email. We keep a record of what you agreed to and when. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any of those emails.
We don't ask why you want therapy, and please don't tell us. There are no analytics or ad trackers on this site.
How long we keep it
- Bookings are deleted after 30 days.
- Reviews we don't publish are deleted after 30 days. Published reviews stay up until we take them down. Ask us and we will.
- Your email address is kept while you have a booking with us, or while you're signed up for marketing emails. If you unsubscribe, we keep a note of your address so we don't email you again.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests for the booking email and for moderating reviews, consent for marketing emails.
Emails are sent through our email provider, Resend. Data is stored with our hosting providers, Vercel and Turso.
